HULLMARK BY PLIMSOLL / OPERATIONS FOR INLAND TOWING
LOAD LINE / THE HONEST MARK
DOWNBOUND / 954.0 MILES TO THE SEA

THE MARK
A century and a half ago, a single painted line began telling the truth about how much a ship could safely carry. No signature, no ledger, no argument. Just a mark, and the water against it. Hullmark is that idea, built for the working river: a record that sits where everyone can see it, says exactly what happened, and cannot be talked out of it.

All of it captured out of coverage.
All of it still gray, still honest, still aboard.

On paper, a correction means scratching something out. In most software, it means the original quietly stops existing. In Hullmark, every contribution to a record survives: versioned, timestamped, attributable. The person who wrote V1 is still on the page. So is the person who amended it. Nothing is silently overwritten, because a record you can quietly rewrite is not a record.

Built for hands that are busy holding the boat together.
Shore stops asking. Shore starts seeing.
Every open problem on every boat, with its full evidence chain, waiting shoreside the moment it lands. No radio roll call, no emailed photos, no three-ring binder riding a crew van. When a boat has been dark for forty miles, shore sees exactly that too: what is ashore, what is still held aboard, and nothing pretending otherwise.
FLEET BOARD / LOWER RIVER
0553 / 4 VESSELS / 24 OPEN
DEMONSTRATION VOYAGE. NOT CUSTOMER DATA.

0553. NOBODY HAD TO CALL.

Fourteen records captured across forty miles of dead air. Every one arrived exactly as written, versions intact, evidence attached, authors named. That is the whole product. That is the mark.
